As I can tell the 1.2's did not have the weights but the 1.2tl's did.

I have a set of each now.

do they make much difference? worth worrying about?

man how did you get so lucky to have 2 sets of speakers..I dont think I could ever swing that with my wife but I would love to have a second set of crossovers handy.

have you heard any difference between the 1.2TL's and the 1.2 that you upgraded with crossovers by Ben and new rdo198 tweeters?

Is it ok to use hot glue on your crossovers to join caps together to make them more sturdy and prevent vibration and also as an insulator to prevent accidental shorting?

Absolutely. Don't rely on it as an actual insulator, though, as some hot glue can be conductive.
    Ludicrous gibs!

I am redoing my crossover with gimpod's new boards. Do we have anyplace I can find the DCR for the rdo-198's and the other mid drivers in the 1.2TL speakers?

my 198's measure 5.7 and one measures 5.5 is that normal?
I know the mid drivers are wired in series and parallel 2 by 2. I am getting measurements on 3.3 and 6.7

OK I think I am good on the mid drivers.

I calculated them 2 in series and then parralel and the numbers were close

Got new Sonic caps for the LF section. Got new Solen inductors for the LF section as well.

Old resistors and caps pulled of the crossovers done by Ben a year ago that will be reused. Doing this one at a time as I would like to be able to tell the difference

New 10Ga coils and I cut the wooden blocks out of a 2 by 6 with a jig saw. Not pretty but they will work. Did not have a hole saw big enough. Not sure how I will mount them

Hopefully they will breathe again by this weekend.
