Crossover problem w/ rta 12b

I recently picked up a pair of rta 12b and one of the two is in great condition. the second(left) was butchered a bit . Of all things, what was missing on them was the rear terminal plate and the attached choke. The pc board was still there, and as wired in as can be. All drivers seam near mint. So i won a bid on crossovers and tweets on ebay swapped out the internal part of the crossover w/ the intact part(making sure that i mirrored the blue wire w. the right side layout as on a crossover schem i downloaded and fired it up, i was disaapointed to find the left speaker bright in the upper mids. On closer listening the inside 6" driver seamed ballanced w/the right side, but instead of the left outside 6" crossing over lower like the right one it is putting out even higher notes than the inside 6" is. I then checked my wiring between "inside" and "outside" from the right side and the left(twice certain) and then swapped out the whole tweeter/crossover on top w/ a spare. no change. any help... the way i follow the crossover the parts inside do not effect the outside( lower) driver. ron

Are all (4) six inch drivers the same MW6xxx number? Sometimes the older speakers get drivers replaced. Double check your wiring, too.>
