B&K Reference 30 Upgrade Info

Stumble into this, I know there are several Ref30 owners in this forum (Brett, Dan, etc.) so here it is, courtesy of AVS forum:

    Thank you polkatese......Dan and I have the AVR307, but I would assume that the upgrade would be essentially the same as the Ref30 considering they aren't touching the amps as part of the upgrade........

    I'll have to give them a call tomorrow to see what they list for pricing on the 307, if it's any different.....

    I believe the final price the last I have heard was 498.99

    No remote no face plate.......just DAC's THX ULTRA2 and all the current software.Upgraded Processors as well I believe there in pairs now......offical word should surface soon.

    I called them yesterday and talked to some snotty lil **** that was seemingly a little pissed that I would dare ask the question to her. I told her about the email that I'd read indicating the price of the Ref30 and she said that she didn't have any of the information and for me to check their site. I kept pushing and she literally stopped talking for about a minute. I love just sitting there as if I'm giving them the chance to open their yap (heaven forbid they're in the C.S Department) and give some actual answers. She didn't.....What's funny is that the lady I was talking to was Alice, and I didn't realize until just now that she's the one that sent out the email that was posted on the forum that Polkatese linked us to.........she's got that Simply Amazing thing goin for her, that's for damn sure.

    I've had my 307 for about 4 months now, and they've been "about" to release the upgrade ever since then. It's pretty **** business practice to keep customers at bay the way they're doin with this thing........

    Interesting! I guess Alice doesn't know what she'd talking about...did you try to talk to George? he seems to be the knowledgeable one over there...
