Subwoofer has been sitting not used for several months but was on the whole time. No life in it now......no lights.......assuming the simplest thing which might be a fuse...... Cannot find where this fuse is...Read somewhere that it is located above AC.....not that I can see...Before I take off the back plate, am I looking right at it? Also, have been looking for a service manual to see what the inside looks like....... Where can I go in case I have to replace something else?

Thanks

    Hello,
The AC fuse is located on the inside of the input plate. To remove it you first unplug the AC power cord (I'm sure you would have already done that, but I'm a worry wort) and take out the screws that go around the circumference of the amplifier's input plate. Then you can pull out the input plate, sometimes a putty knife can help loosen up the plate. Then once the plate is out look where the AC power cord goes through the input plate and you should see the fuse. If the fuse is blackened inside then don't bother replacing it, it will just blow again. In that case telephone Polk's CS at 1-800-377-7655 and they'll give you the address to send just the input plate and amp to for repair. If the fuse wire is just separated then find a replacement fuse and you should be fine.
Let us know if you need help.
