No, change lines, don't ever worry about the S1...go Magnum down the road.

Are they that much better?? And is it best to change the IC's to the Magnum line??

Well off to hook them up and give them a listen...;)

    Thanks Jesse for the help..

Well got them up and running. You might as well forget about cable management, the impedance boxs make it difficult. But who cares;)

I won't comment on them just yet as I want to let them settle in and do some listening.

I will tell you after a couple hundred hours.. They sound fine right out of the box but I know after burn in they will kick into high gear. Even my AVt's ,and Audioquest cables sounded better after time.

I am sitting here listening to my Shotgun S1.3 XLRs and just loving the sound. I might even skip the matching speaker cables since the ICs are working so great with the Omega-Micro Planar 1 speaker cable.

Currently, I am using the SACD/CD player (Sony XA-5400ES) and the MITs have really made this baby shine. Maybe it just has a long burn-in period, but after putting on the MITs it really sounds good.

However, I did discover one interesting thing. The SACD player sits on the shelf above my DAC, and the pre-amp is on the shelf below the DAC. Anyway, while playing the SACD player one night, I turned off the DAC, and noticed a slight improvement in the sound. It seemed to open up a bit with the DAC off. So, even though the gear is shielded, and I am using balanced cables, electrical interference is still a threat. Turn anything not in use off.
