I recently purchased ( I am awaiting delivery) of a Polk Audio Surround Bar 360. It comes with a DVD player but I already have BluRay player that I want to hook up to the unit when it comes. Does anyone have an idea how I would do this?
Thanks,
John
Thanks,

It looks like there are optical inputs on the back of the unit. I would connect the BDP to the TV and run the sound to one of the optical inputs. You would either run the optical from the TV to the unit or form the BDP to the unit.
Hope this helps.Front - RTiA5's
Rear - RTiA3's

Thanks for the info. I don't want to seem too dense, but, what is the BDP and, when I do get the unit, what do the optical inputs looke like?
Sorry for being so naive about this.

BDP meaning your bluray disc player.
Does your TV have hdmi inputs and optical outputs?
Best way I'd run it is, hook up your bluray player to your tv via hdmi (that way you have both video+audio sent to your tv).
Run the optical from either your tv (if it has one) or the optical/analog from your bluray player to your surround bar.
Whenever you want to use the surround bar, just put the tv's volume down to 0. Hooking it up this way allows you to watch/hear movies through your tv in case you don't want to use your surround bar and not have to connect/disconnect anything else.
Btw, welcome to CP!
