    have you driven one before?

and to compare it to a vette is just insane. the vette would kill it.

If you want to compare a Vette to a bimmer I would use the M3 or M5.

The 335i is more of a daily driver.

Do I have to drive one to know how fast it is? Sure, there are lots of things I couldn't state without driving one, but the facts are the 335i does 0-60 in 4.9, and there is no way in heck you're going to convince me that's slow. And gutless? 300lb-ft from 1400-5000rpm is gutless? Ok, I'm glad I now know what the definition of gutless is.

And did I even imply the 335i was as fast as the Vette? I specifically said "the Corvette is a lot faster." I only brought up the Vette because it's something Serendipity has direct experience with.

And on another note, I keep replying with numbers and facts, and you just keep stating your opinion. Which is certainly as valid as mine. I just don't agree with it. Even when I get my dream garage and daily drive a Z06 with a cam'd LS7, I don't believe I'll think 4.9 is SLOW.

2004 custom silver and the other is fully gutted, full roll cage, a 800hp motor/setup, full race suspension.

i see your in NC. look up a shop called DCR. they have a 7 sec and an 8 sec SRT-4
Dangit, gee thanks. Now I have a puddle of drool I hafta mop up.

I'd love to take a ride in your hopped up SRT4. Heck, The '05 would be tons of fun, too. I'm actually in AR in school at the moment, but Saturday head back home for a few weeks. Might hafta find said shop if it's close.

its cool man. its just that lil rich kids come out with their stock 335i cars to some local meets and think they are hot $H!T. it is a well built nice car, but they are not that fast to me. again this is my opinion. i too would love to own a Z06, but mine will be twinturbo.

That works, too. :D I haven't read enough yet to know how much abuse the LS7's cylinder walls can take. But from the very little I've stumbled across in the last two or three days, I'm pleasantly surprised.

    cool cool

my MazdaSPEED is stock too (only for warranty reason) but the tires 225/40/17 racingHART rims, spark plugs and drop in K&N.

and i have the BABYSEAT MOD TOO :D

Just curious, I thought yours was the MS Protege? What kinda warranty do you still have on that? Isn't that like 7 years old?

I don't plan to make any mods to mine even after the PT warranty expires (another 3 years or 35k miles). I want it to last since its a daily driver and I usually keep cars for 8-10 years on average. For around the city, it really is more than fast enough, especially when the boost kicks in through 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

yup, i have the MSp i have the 2.0 Turbo with sidemount intercooler, you have the 2.3 turbo with top mount intercooler.

i have the extended warranty on it. its a 2003.5 so ya. LOL i was gonna upgrade the turbo on it, but the motors dont do so good with much more boost. i had the motor pop at 41k miles. warranty covered the whole replacement. wrist pin broke. thank god the car was still stock. i have 61k on the car now.

Wha??? Seriously? What's the name of the company? I thought it was Hennessy engineering or some such. Did they change the company's name to get his name out of it? That's great news, if the company's back on track and dealing straight now!

I think the only thing worse than audio snobs are car snobs. People fighting over tenths of a second and calling one car "garbage" over another because of those tenths of a second is ludicrous. Let people drive what they want and friggin' enjoy it already; unless they're specifically trying to throw it in your face that they have a BETTER car, let them enjoy it.

To say a 335i is a piece of junk, and then compare it in any way other than pure numbers performance to a Corvette is ludicrous. Corvettes may be fast, but I had hand-made go-karts as a kid that felt more solid.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Wait... i may have gotten that mixed up with another company. Let me look around, i may not have my facts straight.

I do KNOW for a fact the company has moved locations and doesn't have the same issues that they had 3 years ago when the **** hit the fan, though.

I'll come back to this. Sorry for the potential confusion.
