Loose banana plugs

Is there a way to make a banana plug fit more snugly in the terminal post socket? My ATI 2505 amp seems to have loose sockets compared to the Carver AV-505 I have.
HT Set up: Samsung 58" plasma, Outlaw 950 pre/pro, ATI 2505, Monitor Audio Silver series (fronts and center), AR 12" sub, Velodyne VX-10 sub, Boston Acoustic rear surrounds.

What brand of banana plug?
You can most likely pry out the bowed pieces, if yours has the bowed type head.Political Correctness'.........defined

some of the cheaper nanners' fins tend to flatten out over time. It happened on mine GLS nanners. I replaced mine with Audioquest's bayonet and it solves the problem.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Take a pen, or something with a tapered point and push it in the middle of the connector where the sides have collapsed in on themselves. As you push in, the sides will expand outwards. Works like a charm.Living Room: Receiver: Pioneer Elite SC-25 | Turntable: Technics SL-B200 | CD Player: Rotel RCD-955AX | Fronts: Polk RTiA3 | Center: Polk CSi A4 | Rears: Polk FXi3 | Sub: Velodyne DPS-10 | Cables: AudioQuest Type4 & TypeA

i did this to my AQ cables. great fix -
Yeah, my AQ Type 4s had the same issue, but that little fix makes them just as tight as the day they were bought.Living Room: Receiver: Pioneer Elite SC-25 | Turntable: Technics SL-B200 | CD Player: Rotel RCD-955AX | Fronts: Polk RTiA3 | Center: Polk CSi A4 | Rears: Polk FXi3 | Sub: Velodyne DPS-10 | Cables: AudioQuest Type4 & TypeA
