Ok i have wanted these speakers forever,(Rti38) like 6 months or longer. and something always seemed to come up when i had the money, even after i sold my rti28's and had to spend that money on bills.. yada yada yada!!!!

So i tell my wife i want these speakers sometime this year, we were getting by with some R15's we picked up for temps.. a month ago.. so tonight she says after we eat dinner, lets go to circuit city.. and grab those r15's off the wall.. I wanna return them until we get the better ones.. I was like ok.. thinking yeah i'm getting what i want. But didn't say anything.

we get to CC, we bring them to the counter and say we want to return these.. and then my wife says and he wants the biiger ones the 38's or what ever thier called.. I say awww Thanks honey.. Ah mamm thats the Polk Rti38's and take these as the trade in.. One set black rti38's baby!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very happy to have these monsters. I brought them home and hooked them up but it was like 10pm tonight and the kids were bedtime .. so i have to raise them up on the walls and recalibrate them and do some demo tomorrow. I listened to a cd for a few minutes and they are loud and actually have some bass unlike the 15's which is kinda weak unless their blasting.. More to come but i am happy and going from 15's to 28's back to 15's and now 38's BIG change...

will check back later tomorrow

    Congrats!!!

Those RTi38's are really great speakers but so are the RTi28's. The Rti28's are nearly as good. Honestly I could not tell much difference between the RTi28's and the RTi38's in the CC sound room. Are they going on the side wall or back wall in your setup? I have RTi28's on my side walls and will probably move them to the back wall after I buy a pair of FXi30's for my side walls. Maybe another pair of RTi28's for my bedroom too.
    My 7.1 setup consists of:
    Denon 3803
    Panasonic DVD
    RTi70s front
    CSi40 front center
    RTi28s side surround
    FXi30s back surround
PSW202 Subwoofer - Hey, it's my first sub!
    RCA 46" 4:3 RPTV

No problem guys i can assure you once i get the free time today i will be listening on with these speaks, to say they are bookshelfs is an understatment.. these things are HUGE compared to the R15's i was useing.. sheesh they look huge on the wall

These are on the side walls, I may end up with 28's for the rear backs later on, specially if CC keeps up the good sales.. Bagged the 38's for 279.95 - the trade in of the 15's = $216.00 out the door when last week they were running $379.98 can't beat it.

Oh yes and my wife is almost into this as much as i am, she loves the HT and watching new DVD's everyweek as they come out.

It's early sat morning 9:41 so everyone is still laying around and watching tv, later i will give a good listen to the new speaks.. after i raise them up the wall.. calibrate and so on.......

also i agree, these are much better then the 28's... Rti28's are very nice but with these you can actually hear the bass and they are loud

Real nice Fathers Day gift. Sure as heck beats a shirt and tie. Hopefully you can spend the day on Sunday enjoying them, and every day thereafter.

Yes they kick butt, deeper bass, solid sound.. loud. about 2-3 steps above the rti28's i had, and alot better then the R15's although both great speakers and i loved my 28's.. These are very nice.. 5 channel stereo on the radio sounds full with the 70's upfront and the 38's in back,, here's a few pics with them installed.. my room is so small, i have them 5 foot to the bottom the speaker.. 14" away from the back wall.

edit: no **** about the flowers and beanie baby, LOL my wife can put whatever she wants on them as long as i get to pick the shelf, ie: rti38's :D
