Are you prepared for 12-21-12?

"Have enough to survive" means you and your dependents and whoever you plan to hole up with will be able to survive the loss of electricity, food source (e.g. stores are or have been looted), water, and law enforcement. Let's assume average temperature for your area.

There are no right or wrong answers nor do you have to justify yourself. Your answer should be based on how long you think you can hold out along with everyone else with you. You are not confined to your domicile. If your plan is to live out of your car, boat, or camping ground, those count, too.

My inlaws are farmers, I live amongst the Amish, I have 10 acres with deer and turkey. I have a well and several springs. Most important, my buddy owns a drive-thru and I pity the guys that try and loot it.
    Piece of cake.

But, seeing as how that will be a Friday, I will probably just get up and go to work.

If the sun burns out we will all freeze to death in short order, if the sun explodes in some firery fashion we are all toast so neeed to plan or worry about the sun. As far as the electricity going out well im not concerned about that, I live in one of the few places that if one know how too can survive off the land around me, people have for many thousands of years and they even managed it without Polks :p

I am truthfully more concerned about forgetting to buy more coffee before I run out than any particular impending date that someone else had decided will be the day the earth ends as we know it.

    REGARDS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    We survived Y2K, June 6, 2006, and Power Rangers, we'll survive 2012. :D

Although, I wouldn't mind trading Russ 960 roles of toilet paper for one of his V-8 Interceptors.

Yeah, I'm worried to death. The only thing we'll have to worry about is the damage caused in this country by the current administration i.e., we may have to learn Arabic as our first language, face east and pray five times a day and watch women get beheaded for showing their ankles.:D

I refuse to prepare at all.
    Besides....
We are American, and our overbuying habits allows us food for at least two months, three months if not overeating, ok, so 1 month.
That, and all the weaponry we have, can go hunting if need be.

I believe the Mayans may have predicted an asteroid hit, (they really do not know what they predicted other than a giant eraser type of thing happening) as they were great mathematicians, but, modern day has proven they were slightly off.

This just coming after a bath tub filled with water 99/00, the only thing we did.
In fact, the dogs had the kitchen to themselves overnight then ( and promptly destroyed said kitchen), we were drunk and watching BNL with Doug Flutie on the drums for one song up in Buffalo at MMA.
