Wow, that sucks but at least you're OK.
I had a lady do something similar last week and I was going 7MPH over the speed limit the entire time on my rural drive home. She was laying on her horn at stop signs to the point I was wondering if maybe something was wrong with my vehicle. Eventually she passed me and kept honking the horn. WTF?
Well, at that point I decided I would follow her so I used her as cop bait. I witnessed her doing the same thing she was doing to me to a pick up truck ahead of me. She pulled into a hair salon parking lot where I proceeded to scare the hell out of her with a few choice words.
It made me feel better.
If it wasn't such a hassle and dangerous, I'd have just slammed into the brakes and let her plow into me. -

Thought of doing that as well as we would have just ended up on the engine of his car due to the height difference, but I also thought, what if they seriously get hurt, I don't want to be responsible for that. -
And this is why I keep a paintball gun in the trunk at all times. *toc* *toc* *toc*

Glad you and your wife are OK.Very true, I know I have learned that I will not tolerate idiots like this and either slow down or just pull over.
He had no intention of going around us till he did that one time. He was content tailgating us.
Now i'm not sure if our truck has suffered any damage. It doesn't appear to be it drove fine on the way to work. I'm not sure if I should just bring it it for a once over, just in case.Knucklehead wrote: »Glad you guys came out unscathed. I used to go there quite a bit when my sister lived in the Glebe. She now lives in Quebec 45 minutes out of Ottawa. When I did go to visit we would just park at her place and walk or take a cab.
Anyway, glad to here you guys made it out of this situation safe.Just got off the phone with our dealership we are taking it in after work just in case. Also called our insurance broker to let them know what happened and gave them the police report# again to COA. They will get our guy as we were able to get their plate #.
I was just talking to my wife who said he was a middle aged balding man and his wife was in the car. I remember the wife as they passed us before making us go off the road. She didn't seemed phased that her idiot husband was acting like an A$$. Like holding on or yelling at him.
The police officer did tell me the file will go to the traffic divison and they will be knocking at his door. He will most likely get fined for aggressive driving and road rage. As for going to court who knows. I'd be happy with just giving him the fine but I'm also willing to go to court if need be.DARE TO SOAR:

One time I had an idiot tailing my pickup on the interstate. Slow down, pass, left lane it didn't matter, he stayed right on my bumper. Well when I saw a four foot piece of 4x4 lumber coming up in our lane, I knew I had him. I waited until the last moment and cut lanes. I saw at least one tire blowing and throwing pieces before he got stopped. Oops.>

Went do dealer we have a broken front bumper and a rear one as well we also have an alignment problem along with rear brakes now making noise and they were just installed 3 weeks ago. I'm going to call the cop and my insurance company. I took more pics of the dirt as per dealer then went to get it washes, while in the carwash the machine rips off the drivers side wiper blade. Filled out another form they couldn't get it for me as it was just a young girl there. They will call me in two days with either my blade or a refund. That doesn't help me of it rains in the next couple days. Off I went to buy another 25$ blade!

Glad you are alright, I am toying with the idea to carry a pocket ful of change when I am on my bike in case someone is tailgating me and will not leave me alone or back off, I can just throw it over my shoulder and I guarantee he will get off. Not the smartest I'll admit.HT setup

Lest we forget; the best time to wash your windshield is when someone is tailgating!!!

An unintelligent post from you, that's a first.DARE TO SOAR:

When reading his post, I tought the change was to call 911... That would have been intelligent. However, might be hard to be intelligent when you are worried some dummy is putting your life at risk. BTW, no cycle path in the US Maybe then canada is ahead on that matter but... if at least bikes would undestand the cycle paths are for them and for their safety, if they could only understand that
I think he means when he's riding his motorcycle.
You know how bikes are going the speed limit but the good riders don't abuse going over the limit either. 80 Km/h(about 50mph) doesn't feel anything like 100 km/h(60mph) in terms of wind.
edit: It's too bad there is damage to your car, Willow. Now the nightmare only drags on. Hopefully dude has a history and gets the full treatment from our happy go lucky OPP. -
The nice thing about motorcycles is unless you're being tailgated by a Lamborghini, all you do is twist your wrist and whoever is behind you is long gone.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Hahaha, I used to keep those thick black magic markers in my brief case on the passenger seat. One time this **** in a box van was up my **** no matter how fast I went even up to 80 mph. I would switch lanes, he would switch with me right up my ****, to this day I still know what his problem was. In any case the tapping the brakes things got too dangerous at that speed so I took one of the magic marker and tossed it up in the air out of my window. . . for some strange reason he stopped bothering me!:D -

That's always good for a laugh especially if you keep doing it!;) -
Glad that you and your wife are ok--sheesh,, down here people get shot for doing less.Although I must admit that I don't see as many rifles/shotguns in the p/u trucks,,guess they went to 9MM in the glove compartment.Imagine the crap he's gonna get from his wife.Seriously,,glad ya'll are unhurt.JC approves....he told me so. I keep a floor jack handle in my vehicle for occasions like this. I guess I'm not as forgiving as some.

Our vehicle is now in the shop prob till mid-end of next week. We are now driving a Silverado as all they had left was a civic or a minivan....NO thanks! The Silverado is a beast! I kind of wish I had this truck yesterday. I was at a red light and infron of me was a Fit, The bumper is in the middle of the rear windshield. That's all he would have seen and the last thing he would have seen if we had plowed into him.

Did the police provide you with the low life's insurance company information? -

Not yet I am waiting to hear from the cops. We will have to pay the 500$ deductible until he is found guilty. (if he is) Then our INS comp will go after his and get our $$ back.
