505 is too expensive, been at 249$ for a long time, even lower than that lately... you have to keep in mind this is an obsolete Polk product, part of their vintage product.

THANKS! Yes you did........... $$$$$ :o

how about the microPRO then? just found a Refurb one for $285 shipped from Polk Direct

i like the MFW-15 Subwoofer that bsoko2 has FS. but not the $443 price

Well, it shouldn't be long before the 70s and cs2 show up for you. I did put signature on them for you so hopefully that doesn't set you back a day like it always does for me.

hooked up the Monitors 70 for my Fronts, put the 50s for the rears and the 40s for the SS. the CS2 sounds way better than the lil RM7cc i had. i need a bigger Sub or maybe get another one for a matching set of PSWi225s

The microPRO subs are better for your HT requirements. Polk eBay is the place for good deals and refurb or use is always a good idea (maximize every of your $$$ spent).

only microPRO that the ebay store has is the 2000 8" one. they said 284 shipped. how do you think it would sound with the PSWi225. have both of them hooked up or just sell the PSWi225 and maybe get 2 of the mP 2000 8" ones.

    265 a pop if i buy 2 of them

If you compare specs for both of the subs you'll notice that the PSWi225 goes down to 36 hz while going down to 27 hz. I feel just that alone may affect the overall performance of using those 2 subs together. However, since you already own the 225, may I simply suggest you order only 1 2000 first and do some audition to see how the both blends and how you like it? The positive of the 225 is that you can easily move it around without cable pain since it is wireless (the 225 would be perfect if located far away from the receiver)

put the mP 2000 in the front of the room and the PSWi225 in the rear.

i would like to have a bigger sub, like a 12" or 15" but have not found anything near that price range.

    Thx

bigger size doesn't necessarily mean better. Go with a brand that is known for making good subs.....like SVS. :D

If you're going to drop coin on SDA's, make sure you have a listening wall with adequate placement options. Otherwise, you won't get the full SDA effect and your money might be better spent on other equipment.

If you want to use the Adcom power amp, you'll have to end up selling off the Denon and getting a Pre that has pre-outs.

looking to upgrade my rear SS speakers in my bedroom. mains/fronts are RTi10s, center is CS2 (looking for a CSi5/CSi6) OWM5, PSW1225, Pioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi, XPA-3, Vizio 42" plasma, Direct TV HD box, PS3 60gig. MIT EXp-1 speaker wires, monoprice speakers wires/HDMIs/ICs

i was thinking a set of RTi4 or RTi6 would be better for the rears.

    any ideas?

    Ahhh blasphemy!

2.3TL's continue to be my FAVORITE of all Polk speakers (that I've heard), I need to swing on by your place and check your setup out and maybe move a few things around while you're taking a look at my car ;)

Any of the F/X dipole/bipole speakers have great diffusion, I'd probably pick those over conventional book shelf speakers.

so i hooked up my Adcom GFA-5802 Amp that i got from Larry. its hooked up to my SDAs. i took the Acurus out and hooked up the EMO XPA-3 to power my CSia6 and FXi4s. i think the EMO amp woke up the CSia6 for sure. FXi4s sound about the same.

SDAs sound louder at the same volume than before. gonna have to watch Avatar and WOTW to see how it all sounds now.

the acurus is going in the bedroom now to power the RTi10s and CSia5

BTW i unhooked the SDA cable because im not sure if its OK to run them without the ground wire Larry was talking about. did not wanna mess up my SDAs

i would move the AVR to a lower shelf or get something that can support more weight. you don't want to come home to a dead rack.
