hello everyone, new to the site.

just wanted to get some input on my setup.

i have a Sony EX7/52 LED/LCD tv
just picked up a Denon 2311ci Receiver. replaced my OLD sony 5.1 unit.
For speakers i have a Polk RM7 center speaker, Monitor 50 for the fronts, Monitor 40 for the rear and a PSWi225 for my Sub.
i watch movies and play games (PS3)on this setup.

now with the new higher powered receiver i was thinking about getting some new bigger front speakers and usings the 50 for the rears and the 40 for the surround speakers for the 7.1.

open to all inputs.

Thanks

TV is mounted above my fireplace and the room size is 20x18
thinking about the TSi400 or TSi500 for the front

i have the small RM7cc cause i did not have the space from my fireplace to my TV. guess im gonna have to move it up some and make room for the CS2.

i picked up a used CS2, gonna move the TV up a lil bit on the wall and see how it looks/fits.

Monitor 70s for my fronts, Monitor 50 for my rear and the Monitor 40 or the OWM3s for my surrond. wanna mount them on the wall.

picked up an Adcom GFA-545 MKII Amp to help with the new Monitor 70s.

im thinking my lil sub (PSWi225) will need to get upgraded

i still have to get some good ICs and power cords.

Great! Here is a possible option for the CS2; if you don't want to move your TV, you might consider installing the CS2 above your TV angled toward your listening position. You might fine that it looks good and does the job properly just FFT?

The 505 sub is not bad musically but not the best for HT purpose (port problems, check CP's discussions on the matter)

GOOD MOVE.....the center is crucial. And the M70s will fill up your room and make the M50s sound like a good pair of satellites! The Adcom will definitely help the M70s up front, especially in 2 channel, better imaging, tighter bass, more oooomph in general--you'll love it!

    Enjoy.

Preamp outputs from your receiver to the inputs on your amp, enjoy :)

(You'll see preamp outputs for multiple channels, just make sure you utilize the correct preamp outputs and run them to your amps inputs).

Afterward, disconnect the speakers from the receiver that you wish to run with the amp and hook them up to your amp.

Sounds like you will need to get a preamp to go with your amp. Each channel on the preamp will have a out rca connection, and you will use a audio interconnect to go from the preamp out to the amp. in connection. Each channel will have it's own connection.

I am probably committing heresy for this, but if you are looking for a sub in that price range, the BIC PL-200 is a good HT sub, and the HSU STF-1 is a great choice for music. Just giving you some additional options.

The MicroPRO 2000 is a smaller subwoofer, you won't get the same kind of output from a 8" driver as you would a 12". The BIC is a fantastic HT sub, it has a high sensitivity, plenty of power, and at 52lbs, its cabinet is sturdy.

Is that price of the MicroPRO 2000 used? I see it on Amazon for $600, and for $600 you should be looking at the likes of HSU, eD, Epik, and SVS for subs.

My vote is on the BIC, great value there.

505 is too expensive, been at 249$ for a long time, even lower than that lately... you have to keep in mind this is an obsolete Polk product, part of their vintage product.
