Sorry....negate my opinion and JUST read the TEST results. Read the category the testers put themselves in....and by age etc. Sorry if this Test was already presented. Thought the results interesting.

This has been discussed ad nauseam. Hopefully the mods lock this down before it gets out of hand.
Either you believe in differences, or you don't. Can't make someone believe differently until they hear a difference themselves. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

OK....didn't know I was opening a can of worms. Just found another forum that will sum up all the ****. I guess the moral is: If you have the $$$ and hear the difference....then it is worth the effort.

Even audio manufacturers not directly involved in the cable business like to steer clear of the debate.
..Polk Audio, a well respected manufacturer of loudspeakers in Baltimore, no longer makes cables but declined an invitation to set up a listening test in its laboratories. One reason it gave was that the test could affect relationships with audio stores. "We would be hearing from every retailer in the country," said Paul Dicomo, communications director for Polk Audio. -
You know I can hear the difference if the power is coming form a nuclear or coal fired power plant.:rolleyes:;)

Dee can't tell you how many sickening times those two links and this ABX test has been posted on here. It really is nauseating to see them again for the 40000000000000000 time. -

Obviously not, or the dozens and dozens and dozens ad nausium of threads those links have been posted. -
....The point I thought was interesting. Not interested in the debate.
......Was the classification of the testers. I have been into audio for 40 years and would still rate myself as a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5.....5 being a tweeker or audiophile. Had a lot of great gear pass through and enjoyed the journey. Not trying to convince any one either way. Just an observation of people trying to find the "Holy Grail" !....and are conceited enough to believe they are nearing it because they spent the $$ and read some reviews.. A great system doesn't have to cost mega bucks....if you research , know what you like and trust your ears. Placement is 200% more important that the other tweaks and short cuts.
".... what I was really picking up on were the people who honestly believed they could hear a differences (and presumably believed they were accurately reporting that difference) but who scored ~50%.
OK, that doesn't "prove that they didn't hear a difference", but it does prove that they didn't hear the difference that they believed they heard."
...but it does lend itself to the fact that: " those you talk about knowing the most, actually know the least.....cutting themselves off from different alternatives. I know I have back tracted in my long journey. Put the money were I thought was better spent. -

This thread just seems like an argument that the OP is looking for by his comments in the post he has. Sorry but this has been brought up a ton on the forum and is a can of worms. If you know its " can of worms" and was told so, why continue to talk about it and post more? I just don't understand the logic but a lot of things I don't understand these days.
