I can't figure out if I'm richer for not having a clue even who this is or if I have somehow missed a profoundly memorable saga????

I did look at the above provided link long enough to figure out it has to do with a bro' who apparently thinks the sun rises and sets on who he plays ball for....

This is all that guys were talking about this morning, sheesh I just can't wait for this crap to be over with. Although I only live about 2-5 mins from him and I am wondering if he will have any security or police watching his house in case we get some crazies if he leaves lol:eek:

    Lebronathon?

Wasn't he the elf that got shot in the eye by an orc arrow in the Battle of Helm's Deep in the Two Towers?

That was sooo cool in bluray.....

I can not believe that he is going to the heat. How can the best player in the league not want to play against the other best players. They are supposed to play each other not on the same team.

I agree a pretty cheap way to try to win a championship. I'm a Mavs fan and hate Miami even more now.

He said he's a very loyal person...actually that would be someone like Dirk. I mean Cleveland was doing everything they can every year to try to get a championship it's not like it was out of reach in Cleveland.

Players have been doing this for years. Two and three all stars on one team all for one reason, a championship.

KG and Ray Allen were in the later part of their careers. They were over 30 and 10 years in the league. Dwayne Wade is the oldest of the group at 28 and pretty much the best players in the league outside of Kobe and Durant.

They pretty much have no cap room for anyone else and have almost a whole team to fill so no guaranteed championship, but they have a few years to try.

I don't understand how anyone outside of Cleveland (I get their emotion) can be upset with him.

Why would you hold him to a standard you would never hold yourself to? If you're a doctor are you obligated to practice medicine in the state you were born and went to medical school in? C'mon....

People can spout off about loyalty, but that's a two way street between teams and players that has long since been destroyed.

Whether or not he made the right decision won't be known until he wins a championship with Miami or retires.

I hope he does. It takes more guts to do what will make you happy even if it means it will disappoint others.

How could you NOT want to play with one of the classiest guys (Wade) in the league. I think 95% of us would have done the same thing.

He certainly does want a ring, and has the basketball talent to deserve it, but as far as the loyalty part, it really was operating at a different level here.

Fans were as loyal here as I have ever been aware of. Lebron was too, for a long while. But with this move it is going to be hard for him to come back home when it's all over and done with.

Well.... I think he's a punk. But I've never had that high an opinion of him to begin with. Either way you look at, this was a TERRIBLE move in establishing his legacy on the same level as Jordan, or even Kobe to a lesser extent.

Even if he wins the next five championships, it will always be marred by the fact he was surrounded by other A listers. Again - terrible move if he really wants to be known as "the best of all time". Which I have no doubt (based on his extreme hubris), he does.

Maybe he just wants to be the heel. Some players get off on that. Who knows?

I think if he decides to retire in Ohio he has done enough for Cleveland and the state of Ohio that everything will be just fine, he played his butt off for the Cavs, hopefully fans can respect that.

If winning a championship really was the most important thing to LeBron, he would have taken a page from John Elway's playbook. When Shanahan became head coach Elway restructured his contract over a dozen times delaying huge chunks of his salary until well after his retirement in order for the team to sign the players necessary to win a Superbowl. The result, he owns two rings.

LeBron, whose already worth hundreds of millions could have signed for the minimum, and opened up Cleveland's payroll to sign all the necessary players to bring a championship to to the good people of Ohio.
