i-sonic audio quits working

I purchased my i-sonic from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and about a week later the audio stopped working.

Specifically, the i-sonic will be working fine (Aux input and radio) and all of the sudden the audio will stop working, almost like I hit mute. It remains responsive to all remote commands, just no sound is produced.

Shutting off and turning the i-sonic back on doesn't fix the problem. If I unplug the i-sonic and plug it back in, the problem is corrected and it works fine (feels like a hard reboot!)

This issue happened over the weekend again and the i-sonic wasn't even turned on. When I turned it on, the audio was dead, I rebooted it (unplugged and plugged back in) and now it is working again.

Firmware is 1.5.

Thanks!

I bought mine over a year ago, and it has the same issue. I rarely use it anymore. All in all, a disappointing product.

    Hello BlueFox,
I know Polk can help with that, use the phone number above and extension 208. That's Kim Jasper, let him know you're a CP member and he'll take care of you.
    Cheers, Ken

I called the Polk customer service number. They told me to return my i-sonic to Amazon (where I purchased it). Amazon took it back and sent me another one.

Well the new one has the exact same problem as the old one. The audio stops working after a while and I have to power cycle the unit.

How can I get this resolved? The customer service number didn't seem to know anything about this problem, but I'm guessing it is pretty common in some units. Seems like a software (firmware issue), not hardware.
