Definitely. What I learned in Econ 101 while in College is that the value of a widget is what you and I are willing to accept to pay for. What I did not learn in my limited exposure to Econ, is that prices also depend on what the competitors charge for similar goods. Price is not necessarily directly dependent on manufacturing cost as long as the business is profitable and consumers are wiiling to pay for the goods.
Just my $.02 worth of opinion.

Deals abound already. I bought my CSi40 for $50 off and my RTi70's for $100 off at CC. Crutchfield is running insane deals on the RTi70's right now with $160 off.
I'm looking forward to comparing the current RTi line with the new line at CC. Hopefully they will still have some old models to A/B the new ones with in the sound room.
I expect the sound to be nearly identical to a comparable existing model as the new models use the same silk tweeter. If not it may be time to take advantage of the CC upgrade policy again in a years time.My 7.1 setup consists of:
Denon 3803
Panasonic DVD
RTi70s front
CSi40 front center
RTi28s side surround
FXi30s back surround
PSW202 Subwoofer - Hey, it's my first sub!
RCA 46" 4:3 RPTV -
The RTi70 are at CC for $599.99 and the Rti100 for $699.99.Television: Hitachi S500 51" Widescreen
Receiver: Onkyo, SR-800
DVD Player: Denon 2900 - M1000
Comcast HDTV Motorola 5100 - M1000
Fronts: RTi70's (Bi-wired w/ Monster M1.4's)

I talked to my Polk rep today and he said no changes to the LSi or R series speakers are in the plans this year to his knowledge.

Great pic, RS159 - almost missed that. Also, good post on the Fs of the smaller drivers.

That is a ella cool look and im bout to go MAD! I think it'd be worth my while to sell my RT25i, and CS245i and get the TOTL bookshelf (RT new line) and their TOTL center (RT new line). Looks alone, its worth the upgrade! lol! DANGIT! I was ALMOST DONE! The Rti4....I believe it is. Is that a 7 or 8 inch woofer? No way thats a 6.5". If it is, Polk upgraded to the surround and dust cap. They are way bigger. By the look of that surround is could hit 30hz. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I checked the Vifa product website http://www.d-s-t.com and found no similarity between their tweeters and Polk's. Perhaps the ones used by Polk are specially made to Polk specifications.
Can the folk at Polk Audio entertain us in this respect?
