Suit yourself, but to not get one just because OTHER people are rude with their use of their phones doesn't make any sense to me. I didn't know that other people's behaviour reflected badly on yours, or FORCED you to copy their behaviour.

Again it doesn't have to cost you a monthly bill, at the most it can be a once a year expense.

You can think of all the lame excuses that you want. I just hope to God you never end up in a situation where you NEED a phone & can't get to one, or someone needs to reach you in an EMERGENCY & can't. And good luck flagging down a cop on the highway. I'm sure you know their time schedule when they are going to come zooming down the road.

It's like all the people in my old building who didn't want to sell our old firetrap of a building by claiming we never had a fire. All it takes is ONE time for a disaster to strike! I distinctly remember a time when my Mom was in ICU & I couldn't reach my older brother at home on the weekend & he didn't want to get a cellphone either. He didn't find out til Monday that his mother was in the hosp. Thank God it wasn't THE call.

For crying out loud Cathy, other people's behavior!?!, rudness !?! I can think for myself! Lame excuses!?! I don't want or need or have to the desire to own one, that's it!

I'm not going to walk around and live my life preparing for a building to fall on me or catch fire, or a plane to crash into my house, or a safe to fall on my head etc etc etc, or any other calamity that one can think of. However I can think of all the deaths caused by jackasses using cell phones while they drive but that's not even the point. My point is made in bold above.

Do you like lima beans? I love them, I can think of a bunch of reasons why you should like them, try them and use them regularly when you cook especially soups. What's that you say, "you don't like them" why not, they are delicious and good for you and you can even use them in a peashooter!!! You should force yourself to acquire a taste for them!

That's what discussion sounds like to me.

"Oye Vey!," for you Jewish people, "Mama Mia!" for you Italians, "Daaauuuumn!" for you black folks, "Bollicks!" for the Brits, that's all I can think of for now.:D:p

My neighbors had a domesticated dispute last year and he claimed he was injured. 4 police cruisers, Ambulance and a Fire Engine showed up. When you call 911 like this they always send the house! What a circus it was.

911 speed button? For those times when 2 extras buttons would take too long!! ;)

Hahaha, you finding that unusal is odd:eek:! Even the old base phones hard wired to the wall had single speed buttons for emergency numbers, poison control, etc etc.;)
