Hearing, jb weld is an epoxy that you mix. Use a pop sickle stick to mix and apply to magnet and mounting plate.
Thanks you sir. How important is this "tweak" as I may do it when I install the rings. -

Joe, DO IT! It is highly important, especially the older the drivers get. The glue on the magnets will only last so long until it gives out and your driver magnet shifts resulting in a frozen driver. PLus, it's easy and cheap. Good combo.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Yeah Joe, it does make sense. It will also result in spending less dollars in the future, as well as minus the frustration of having to find and replace the drivers. Also good things. Also seriously, the wise ones are the people who came up the ideas of the mods and tweaks. Larry being a good example of that.

Are these the "tiptoes" that came out in the '80s? If so I had dozens of them in different sizes and at the time the were wonderful. If they haven't changed the material they are made of (aluminum) or modified their design there are much much better products of this sort availiable in 2010 made of carbon fiber, brass, and composites and designed differently.
Not raining on your parade Bro just sharing my experience as I used them for years. As a matter of fact I passed all the extras I had to Polkies over the years.
Do you know if they are any different now?:) I tried searching their site but I could only find floor protectors. -

Thanks Billy they are quite different in design and material than the original "tiptoes." Jeez I really have become search impaired as I was all over that site with every keyword I could think of and couldn't find them and you do in a matter of minutes.
Time for this old man to take a nap and reboot his memory cells. -

The downside is that we would have to buy shoes for the "feet" for our speakers...:pPio Elete Pro 520
