    Tiger's Divorce -- Cheaper Than You Heard

    TMZ has learned ... Tiger Woods will be a single man by the end of day tomorrow ... and he ain't payin' anywhere close to $750 mil.

    Sources connected with the golfer tell TMZ his divorce from Elin Nordegren is a done deal, except for the official filing with the court.

    We're told Elin will not get near the reported $750 million in the settlement. As one source put it, "Tiger isn't even worth that much."

    The source added, however, "She'll do a lot better than she would have under the prenup."

    In May, 2009, Forbes estimated Tiger's worth at $600 million.

    I was actually wondering, does he even HAVE 750mil? I know total future net worth and all that, but if he wanted to hand her that money today does he even have the cash? Sometime last year he hit 1 billion, that's 3/4 of that, plus taxes and all that...

    I think alot of people have been looking for a reason for a long time to hate tiger woods, and this gives them something to latch onto. Funny how you did not hear this kind of outcry with guys like Magic, Jordan and Kobe...

    Feel a similar way, but didn't feel like starting a s#!t storm on this thread. Man cheats, woman gets upset, leaves and takes a lot of crap with her. This happens everyday. Why do we care so much about Tiger? Not to mention no one here can accurately judge Tiger, Elin or the sum of money she gets, because none of us know the whole story, only what we've been fed. So therefore...I don't care.

    Elin deserved money, and not a paltry sum, but I think three quarters of a billion is an expensive settlement. The way this reads is legal blackmail. Would he have lost more in court? I don't know.

    Whenever possible, kids need their dads as much as their moms. There are no reports he abused them or was a bad father. He was a bad husband. This seemed to be more about the money than the welfare of their children. They'll be OK financially, but emotionally? They're the big losers.

    I just can't flip cartwheels for Elin and thats after losing a tremendous deal of respect for Tiger.

    If this had gone to trial, he would have lost even more what with all the evidence against him & all the women who even though they are **** would have enjoyed continuing their 5 minutes of fame by testifiying against him.

    As for being a bad father, a mostly absent father IS a bad father. Emotionally, they are going to be tormented as they get older knowing that the ENTIRE world knows that as well as being one of the best golfers in the world, is also one of the biggest losers in the world with his attitude & behavior towards their mother & women in general.
