Okay I have a older model Phillips A711 player. Yeah, nothing special...i'm poor! lol Today I popped in Eric Clapton's Live On Tour 2001. Watched it many times on this player over the years. It won't read it. So I am thinking maybe the player took a dump. Popped in an audio CD, works fine. Popped in DVDs by Keb Mo, Candy Dulfer, Rush....played them fine.

For some reason it won't play the Clapton DVD anymore. The DVD is not dirty or scratched either. Anyone got any ideas why this is happening?

I have found the same thing with some newer cd/dvd's and my older equipment. The Claption DVD must have a newer encryption and your DVD player does not have the ability to decode.

^ I have watched this DVD on this player many times before. So it can't be that.
