Ok, I'm local to Lasareath and can pick up this bar from him just about any day as long as noone minds.

I want to be as clear as I can be on this so there's no sour relationships with anyone here:

    1. GMiller is "in front of me" on this list so by getting it directly from Lasareath I'm basically skipping everyone.
    2. I was never officially approved by Polk forum's mods (or whoever) to be on the list to begin with but I did send an email, pm and bumped this thread to see if anyone even cares about moving this demo further. Apparantly noone cares lol.
    3. From what I understand Polk is sending people pre-paid shipping slips so basically noone is paying shipping out of their pocket, Polk takes care of that. In this case there's no shipping charges since it's local pick-up but I don't want to pay to ship to the next person. So if I do end up getting it from Lasareath I expect either Polk to care care of shipping or next person on the list. Or local pick up ofcourse.

And just like at the wedding - If there is anyone that believes there is a reason I should not get it from Lasareath SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE! haha!

Lasareath - assuming noone minds - I'm on the job site in Newark till 5pm today so I can't pick it up from you but I will be in Brooklyn after 6pm if you wanna take it with you and meet me there.

I've got one boxed up and ready to send to GMiller. Just need a label. Unfortunately I'm in Seattle so local pick up not as convenient....

GMiller....I've also made numerous requests in the past to join the test group and received no feedback whatsoever. I'd be willing to send a pre-paid fedex label to anyone who wants to let me try it out for two weeks. Any takers?

I haven't seen Mark posting much lately, maybe he has something personal going on. I'm also not sure if he is a paid employee of Polk, maybe part time as I think he has a regular gig as well.
I have a SB6K from my demo boxed up and ready to go but honestly I'm not comfortable shipping it off to someone who hasn't been approved for the demo...

I agree, the units shouldn't be sent off without someone who's administering the programs knowledge. I wouldn't want anyone on the hook if the recipient went off the radar.

Polk Audio's own, Jon_S will be taking over this and all the other Polk demo programs in the very near future. Be aware that there will be major changes to the way the programs are run.

Hey, for those of you with these demo's still in hand, Merry Xmas, they are now yours. Thanks for participating and simply confirm you have them so we can check off the boxes on this spreadsheet. We've been working on this transition for over a year and this was the quickest and easiest way to get this stuff closed out and new things dropped into the mix.

Polk would like everyone involved to know that your input has been greatly appreciated and if you haven't already filled out a review in the product pages, please do so when you get a chance. More demo's will be heading down the pike and they will be handled by our own resident Polk HQ nut Jon_S. Contact him directly with any questions or comments. - Mark

If the bloody local stores would actually setup a SB6K rather then take it out of the box for display, I may actually be able to get a demo. I've been wanting to try one of these to replace my HT which has been gone for a while.

The stores horribly market Polk up here. Considering this cost $799 up here, It's a lot of dough to drop for something that I'm so unfamiliar with.

Kudos to Polk for the kind gifts given out. The little things really do matter!

Marketed horribly up there? Hell, they're not much better down here either when it comes to BestBuy and open demos. I feel for you Drenis.
