I tried the Boston TVee 30 and liked it for music but needed more sound effects for movies. How is the Polk for movies? I only have seen/heard it at a big box store which dont do it justice.

Will there be a demo of the CHT400+500? I am concidering giving up my Polk 6700 system due to room configuration on our new house. I think a sound bar would be great for my application (above fireplace).

Labels sent to Messiah, Drselect and Mrbofus for Ken Byrdson, Gmiller and Lasareath.

The SB3K has been dropped from the demo program due to many problems with setup. It's only Surround Bar 6000's now.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Earthy - Disregard...I noticed my mistake afterwards and reprinted the label correctly. I know you shipped them, TY.

Just a quick thank you again for the Demo.
After using the SB6K and now not having it, one really notices the difference.
I may even have the wifes approval for Christmas. She even said "the TV sounds terrible without that thing you had hooked up, maybe we should get one"

Thanks again and happy hloidays to all.

I really enjoyed it. Would I buy one, tough question... It does a great job for what it is. Greatly enhances the crappy speakers in todays slim panel TV's and a very realistic surround sound experience, not to mention stupid crazy set up. If I had a bedroom rig or something maybe but it can't relace my full blown 7.1 setup.

Thanks for following up. My bedroom lcd could use the upgraded sound, so I will be looking to purchase a surroundbar in the near future.

Hello. Although I am still listed as having an "active" trial of the soundbar, I have STILL not received any or had any correspondence from Polk other than what Doro has replied here. Granted, this is a benevolent program and I am very gracious to have the opportunity to try these speakers in a unique room environment before purchasing, but... the administration of this program leaves a lot to be desired.

    1. I had to sent my personal information at least 3 times before it was acknowledged as having been received. This is over the course of the past 18 months. I am quite sure the influx of details from interested parties is significant, but it should not be that hard to keep track of, and once receipt is acknowledged should not delay a trial.

    2. I also understand the forwarding of the individual units are dependent on the responsibilities and honesty of the current holder. ie "my two weeks are up, send me a label" versus "I've finally got the soundbar, now try to pry it from my clutches!". I have followed this thread and have an idea of where the units are. Most trialists are responsible and post when done with the unit. This shouldn't delay a trial for the next potential purchaser either.

I am frustrated with this trial program. I am not a tire kicker trying every Polk product for the sake of conspicuous consumption, but a legitimate potential repeat customer for Polk. This is a great way to see how a particular product could work for their customers, and with the administration of this program, they have let their customers down.
