Man, what a momentum switcher! The Celtics beat LA in LA, then head to Boston feeling pretty good about themselves.

Then the Lakers, playing pretty poorly the whole night, win the first game in Bean town! If you're a Laker fan, which I am, you gotta love that!

Yeah, the Lakers really didn't play that good tonight..they played pretty good defense at times however they gave up way to many layups. It was a bit of a strange game with a lot of subpar performances on both sides.

If Ray Allen had half the game last night that he had in Game 2, totally different outcome. He was almost non-existant in Game 3.

Not a fan of either team, just sayin'...:D

I have to be honest, I think the series so far has been UGLY!!! There seems to be no rhythm to the games. To many ticky tack fouls. The officials need to let them play a little bit. I'm a huge Laker fan, but I'm also a fan of good basketball. I'm happy the Lakers are leading, but so far have not seen any good basketball.

If Kobe Bryant had just half of his usual fourth quarter output the game wouldn't have even been close. He didn't score for the first 10 minutes!

    Coulda, shoulda, woulda...if, if, if.

None of that means anything because the game, every game, is what it is.

Guess all the Lakers fans slept in late today, not one comment about last night's game? :D

I think Lakers lose it on purpose, otherwise no game #6, which would be big revenues lost for both franchises. :)
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

There's not much to say. They lost. . . Big Baby had the quarter of his life while slobbering up and down the court. The horrible referees got the Lakers this time (nice bogus blocking foul on Kobe in the final minutes). Boston may have a better chance if they start their subs, because their starters haven't done anything in this series.

One thing that I did notice about Boston last night is that they are starting to get a bit too emotional. Don't get me wrong, it's good to have some emotion when playing, but come on Nate Robinson. Is it really necessary to get up in Lamar Odom's face after that foul. Sit your **** back down before you get sent back to the 6' and under league. Sheed's should have 3 technicals in the series by now (instead of the 1). The refs have shown amazing tolerance of his antics, but I have a feeling, game 5 will have a ton of technicals.

For game summary, Huck344's comments hit it on the head.

As far as game coverage, I, for one, am sick of the coverage being so screwed to the Celtics. Come on, do we need to go inside of the Celtics huddle on every time-out, see Doc Rivers' mug complaining about the calls every two minutes, see Ray Allen's mom in the crowd, hear about every Celtic highlight over and over? You would have thought it was a 25 point blow-out and not a one or two possession game. JVG and Mark Jackson won't criticize any calls for fear they'll never get another coaching job...and, why aren't the announcers criticizing the Celtics for their terrible sportsmanship and complete lack of class?

Last nights game was really strange..Boston literally couldn't make a layup in the first half yet the Lakers couldn't produce a lead. One thing I've noticed is that ABC color man Mark Jackson just can't seem to bring himself to say anything good about the Lakers. It's all about Boston even when the Lakers are ahead you'd think listening to Jackson they are behind, two games ago he proclaimed Ray Allen to be the best shooter in history (I guess he never saw Pete Maravich or Jerry West play lol) now that Allen can't even make a layup Jackson is praising others. His bias is REALLY showing and has become quite annoying to this Laker fan! Anyway, it was a tough loss for the Lakers and I really thought they had a great opportunity to go up 3-1. Boston choked big time for 3 quarters but the Lakers were unable to take advantage for several reasons, one being the injury to Andrew Bynum. It's now a 3 game series with two of the games in LA.

    GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has become very obvious to most..the TV coverage is ALL ABOUT BOSTON! When the Lakers had a lead all Jackson could talk about was how great Boston was playing even though they were choking! Jacksons bias is really getting tough to take.

I'm glad that we are keeping this thread on-track. :D

Like I've said before, I'm not a fan of either team, I just happen to like the Lakers less (sorry to say, I happen to be a Nets fan [runs for cover] :o).
Kind of feel the same way about the Lakers / Cowboys / Yankees in that they, and their fans, almost feel that they are entitled to win it all every year and all other teams be damned.

That being said, I can see this series going all 7 games. Neither team has really shown what they are capable of. The only consistancy I have seen so far has been from Gasol, Fisher, & Rondo. And Sheed really should control his antics before he is forced to watch the rest of the series from the bench.

Bench play has been key for both teams in this series.

The only thing that Jackson is good at saying is "Hand Down, Man Down". JVG is a total joke. How he got a job as a color analyst is beyond me. I'm not asking for LA homers to be the announcers but at the very least TRY AND BE IMPARTIAL.

When the refs blow a call against the Lakers , the announcers barely make mention of it. In the first half, the refs made an offensive 3 second call against the Lakers that was obviously wrong. There wasn't even a Laker in the key. The announcers said nothing about it. But, when KG gets called for a borderline offensive 3 second, they examine it like the Zapruder film and talk about how Boston is getting robbed.

Yeah, I hear ya. The three second call against KG was at least arguable, the one against the Lakers was an obvious blown call..as you pointed out there wasn't even a Laker in the key!!

I might have to break down and listen to the Laker broadcast on radio even though I prefer to hear a more balanced call by impartial announcers in the playoffs but that's not going to happen with Jackson and JVG! I don't think it's a thing about JVG and Jackson liking Boston so much as it's a thing about them hating on the Lakers. Their bias is obvious.

This is even more important now that Bynum's knee is starting to give out. LO has to step it up and so does Jordon Farmar and Shannon Brown. We need some outside shooting other than Kobe.

BTW..Pau Gasol is having a great Finals and playoffs but I suppose all we'll hear about is Ray Allen etc. lolol

The Celts love to foul, don't they? And Rondo seems to become completely confused at the free throw line.

4th quarter was when they woke up.

I guess Pierce and Rondo gotta go home empty handed.

    WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lakers out did Boston at their own game..they wanted it more, they played better defense, they played tougher, and most importantly they beat Boston on their home floor in game 3. That win was the catalyst that propelled the Lakers to the championship.

Ron Artest put the "lockdown" on Paul Pierce for SEVEN games! He didn't just show up in the last two games..his job was to get in Pierce's face on defense and that's just what he did and when the Lakers needed some offense from him he gave them that also!

Nail-biter game. Both teams put up great efforts, but Lakers ultimately > Celtics.
