Recommended amp for Atrium 55 speakers?
I'm starting a landscaping project in my backyard. We'll be adding a shed that will have electricity running to it, and my plan is to mount two Atrium 55 speakers on the outside of it. facing a new patio. I already have a Squeezebox system in my house, so my plan is to add another Squeezebox and put it inside the shed at the window so it can be controlled from the patio.
So, my question is, what would be a good, reasonably priced amp to use to drive the speakers? Ideally, something that would automatically power on and off based on whether or not there is a signal would be nice. The amp would live in the shed, so it would have to tolerate that kind of environment. I'm in the San Francisco area, so the weather doesn't get too hot or too cold, but it does rain fairly constantly in the winter.
Thanks,
-Mike

I'm thinking cheap receiver.Political Correctness'.........defined

I feed my 55's with an Adcom 535. Cheap, and sounds very good.
Now that I think of it, this is the only amp that I've not changed/tweaked/upgraded. It's been there since I connected it probably 5 years ago. Good stuff._________________________________________________

Good call on Parts Express. Looks like the AudioSource AMP-100 would fit my needs (and Amazon sells it too for less.) Is 50W per channel going to be enough for the Atrium 55s?
Thanks,

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
We just put a Sunfire SZA-2200 on my moms Atrium 65 speakers outside. We are still installing the rest of her equipment and have not had a chance to see the difference. When we was just using her Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH to power them off the B side of the amp the speakers sounded good but wanted to see if there would be an improvement with a standalone amp.
Bad side of this is the amp that we bought was miss represented and it was a EU Version and now we have to get a power transformer so we can use this EU amp with US power. It sucks but we got at deal that was too good to be mad about this. Live and learn.
