Geez I just looked up the Rocket 33s. Music Direct sells them for $284. For about $65 more you can find a used pair of MIT Music Hose MH 750 bi-wires cables and will have taken a major jump in SQ plus when you upgrade your gear you won't have to upgrade from the 750s.

Whoa! That rocket stuff is expensive? Is it worth it so far? :)

Though, the PBJ has the 2 ground wires attached on both ends, right? So curious which is better?
With the PBJ you would connect both grounds at one end and only one at the other.
Since the extra wire only acts as a partial shield the PBJ will be less immune to noise pick up than would be a normal fully shielded cable.

I have had good DIY results with the reasonably priced bulk DH Labs BL1 silver cable.

Could I just buy Teflon shielding for the entire cable and be better off? Or does it not work that way? Meaning, do the wires have to be also shielded from each other?

Teflon is an insulator not a shield,I would guess that the covering on each of the three leads is already Teflon.

My mistake, yes they already have Teflon insulation.

What materials do I use for shielding then? Is it a type of material, or the way the wires are set in there?

    Thanks Again.

Cable shielding is usually in the form of an aluminum foil or copper braid.

The best way of shielding cales that I know of is actually the conductor to ground. The best material should be mesh copper IE: RGxx cables but for what you are doing I wouldn't worry. As pointed out when wire was first discussed, your first wire connected to groung but not to the gear.

    Cheers!

The PBJ should be fine as long as you keep it well away from power cords and you don't live beside Radio transmitter etc..

PM ben62670 and get a dialog going with Ben. He'll teach you everything you need to know about making cables.:)
