Whacha got planned on the barby for this long holiday weekend?

I'll start it off....

Friday: Hawaiian marinated London Broil grilled & seared, with grill darkened corn, baked potatoes with the works and a nice California Zin.

Saturday: Deli-fresh brauts - parboiled in beer, then seared to perfection on the grill, basic french fries and grilled aspargrus in olive oil w/ kosher salt, washed down with cold beer.

Sunday: New York Choice Steaks from the local select butcher, fresh sourdough bread, a fresh salad of my own garden grown cherry tomatoes and lettuce, cucumber, red oninion - toss in some feta cheese with a drizzling of olive oil & balsamic vinegar, complemented w/ a fine French Bordeaux

Monday: Good old fashioned thick burgers from premium fresh ground round with the works and seasoned with a secret concoction of spices, baked beans, potato salad, and cheese sticks - with an endless supply of cold beer.

Faarr it up!!! :D:p

    Erik,
    Your tomatoes are ripe already???
    So Cal or what?

Sun: Secret rub Flank steak on fresh baby greens (the only thing in my garden) with onion and chive Cotswald cheese, fresh local French Batard and whatever pie my love decides to make.

Clearly I need to get more ambitious... it is a whole weekend after all. :p
    Sounds good to me...

Yup - So Cal. I started my cherry tomatoes 2 months ago - they are coming in nicely - got a bunch of about 8 to 10 that are deep red and juicy....mmmmm...:D

Their bisquettes come in many types of flavors. I usually use hickory, pecan, or applewood. Sometimes mesquite if I'm only going to put a couple of hours of smoke on it. They're not artificially flavored...they're made of the actual wood and taste just like you'd expect. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but honestly, I've smoked pork butts and made pulled pork for groups up to 90 or more and they always say it's the best they've ever had.

I have a lot of friends when I'm smokin'...not so many when I'm not....hmmm, not sure what that means. LOL

Man that Hawaii Broil sounds great, but your Sunday NYC steak and garden concoction also sounds great.

We had a memorial this weekend for a friend and put some Chinook salmon on cedar. Some local squash wrapped in bear grass with sweet potatoes. Lots of thyme.

Oh wow - cedar plank salmon? Very tasty!

Right now the sun is beating down clear and warm in San Diego...just fiddling about in the garden w/ some smooth jazz groovin' on the rig - sippin some chilled Chardonnay w/ the wife.

Getting ready to get them brauts on the grill....life is good about now.

Keep the grilling posts coming - great reads on all the great grub!
