    on a lighter note... i just got the grille to my sub. so i wont have time to play for a while but let me leave you with this. i could maby care less what you think cstar(hehe) if you were to pay me but since we both know that wont happen you are seriously wasting your time telling me what you think. since you did let me see if i can paraphrase what youve said..."whah whah. i got all bent out of shape when mhm pooped on my already sold and completed sale thread. so i went crying to the mods and they (in a very calm and cool way) bailed me out of my own crybabyness" you still paying attention? " so i think ill be a huge hypocrite and do the same to him". good call aguado! really shows your ability to pay attention to the moderators instructions. if i should happen to crap on another for sale thread i will kiss your butt and give you a half hour to draw a crowd. as far as tool goes if you dont want to hear the truth keep your mouth shut. he had absolutely no reason to post in this thread and was so rebutted. if i were him id be glad i wasnt called on it at the time.

    hey -- i bought a pair of SDA 1C studios brand spanking new in 1989. -- and man i was blown away.

    and 21 yrs later they still sound good to me -- stock. And DCM timeframes might sound better...

    and carver amazings might sound better....

    and bozak concert grandes might sound better....

    and Tannoy Reds might sound better....

    and for my original $800 investment (i got the floor demo pair).... well i'll just never know what modded SDA 1Cs sound like unless someone invites me over to listen to theirs..... because i'm currently unemployed and won't be shelling out ??? $400 ??? in parts to make mods to already $1600 stock speakers.

    I think i can sympathize with the orignal poster if he expected to eargasm from hearing stock SDA 1C studios... guess thats not gonna happen....

    as far as asking $600 dollars for them here in club polk -- i would suggest he just posted it and let it ride -- then try CL and then try Ebay.

    but that's just my $0.03 worth

    if you were anywhere near me, you wouldn't think you are so funny. I would highly suggest with what you just wrote to never speak to me again as you will not like the response you will get out of my mouth. You are the first and only person I have added to an ignore list as well as the first person on this forum to really just piss me off. Your attitude speaks volumes for your persona and proves my point as well as others. You think your a hot shot, good for you.

    Yeah I went to the mods, why because thats what they are there for. Thanks for insulting me and my thread, as well as me in a person in general. Great additude to have, it will get you really far in life, as well as your typing skills, those are just to die for.

    finally. thank you wayne3burk! it would have been simple as that . i figured the price was fair based on what i had in them. the price was set by the wife as i really didnt care one way or the other. mabe if i had 500 watt amps they would sound better to me but they just dont "blow me away" as i was expecting.
