PSW 10 NOT TURNING OFF on AUTO MODE

just got my new PSW10 powered sub, and for some reason when on AUTO ON/OFF mode it won't turn OFF. The manual says it should happen after 15min but no luck...
Also do you guys have any idea how to limit the humming noise when sub is ON but the receiver is OFF...?
