What are they supposed to be labelled? I know the seller mis identified them as he told me they were only 80-85# each based on his internet search.

Great score, congrats!

CC13,
I recently too acquired a pair of the original 2.3's. I did some of the upgrades as in the RDO upgrades and the XO's with Dayton Caps and Mills resistors. It most definately made an improvement. I am still trying to break in the Caps, but time has been short right now for me to do so.
I am undecided about dynamatting the cabinet so I have not mortited the drivers. I installed new binding posts also.
They do sound good, but I am still curious as to the difference on the TL version. That was what I was looking for also. I thought I got a pretty decent deal, but you stole them compared to my deal.
Great find! -

What is a TL version, and what is a non TL version? -

They have different tweeters, drivers, and crossovers...pretty different speakers. -

AFAIK, the TL designation refers to the changing of the tweeter's dome material to a tri-laminate, kinda' like the tri-laminate cones on the MW drivers. Maybe Darqueknight will confirm this.

Cincy. They are labeled the same as mine. Weird. Did you look at the diagram on the back - it doesn't show the bi-wiring ??
I enclosed a pic of the SDA SRS 2. -
Vette...happy belated birthday. I did let curiosity get to me and pulled the PR. They are stock with a birthday around 8/16/88. The PR was marked 8/17/88. They must have been using up obsolete stock, but I would have thought by August...hmmm.
