A soft way of knocking others in their findings on cables, and with a basic setup do you think one will really hear a difference? "I think not" just my humble opinion..

You can do better then this..

No, I think they jumped on it because of this:
Did I do the test wrong or is audioquest cable just like consumer grade power wire (just dressed up)?
This thread was doomed from the get-go. A statement such as this is usually considered "baiting," although I can't say for sure whether or not that was the OP's intent.

Well Tool, I'm sorry if my SC-07, XPA-5's and LSi25's are just basic. I consider them quite good good. This is a Polk Audio Forum, the LSi25's are the best Polk has right now. If you think they are basic, you have different standards from most of the Forum. I still appreciate the Monitor series and enjoy listening to them and so do others too.
If LSi's are basic, what are the Monitors then?

    .

I wasn't talking about your system I was talking in general to a basic system. you know a receiver basic CDP and a few speakers, how can anyone hear a difference with better cables?

And I never said LSi's are basic you just don't know what they are capable of doing, and with better cables..

So on this thread we have a link to soft **** photos, and on another thread there is a link to a song with obscene language.

If I say it, I'm attacked for it, but if a Mod says this silliness needs to stop, well then it is "yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir".

What's going on here Joe, answer that? Isn't **** even soft **** and obscenity prohibited on here?
Why aren't you asking for it to stop?

Soft ****? You are kidding me, right? I don't see any men in those pictures, I see a beautiful woman, period.

Because I have a sense of humor and so do the mods until you start your whinning and double standards of taking shots at people that you can't stand having taken at you.

You are not going to bait me into and infraction but I have to say you muck up more threads with your BS twisting of the rules and over-the-top morality. Don't like the thread or its contents?, don't read it. Simple enough!

I'm waiting for you to pull the big guns out and start a political rant in this thread to get it shut down.

BTW Mr. Morality, how do you come by the knoweldge that she is a British **** star and what has that to do with pictures of a beautiful woman, **** star or not. I see more flesh at the seashore than in those pics.

Post the rules please so we can see what the devil you are talking about! Also make sure you post the rules about baiting members . . . myths & fairtales etc! You make up the rules as you go along and the established rules don't apply to you as you've proven over and over again everytime you crap up a thread. This is rediculous!

How about keeping garbage out of threads that were ostensibly for audio discussion? I'm not saying it's ****, per se, but I'd rather not have such unrelated images appearing on my screen when my kids are in the room, or while reading the forum at work during my lunch break. Keep it in The Clubhouse. I usually avoid that while at work. Of course I can stay out or unsub, but once it appears on the screen in front of me and my son, (and I wasn't aware of it being there in the first place - thread title was a bit benign to expect girlie pix)... well, then it's just a little too late. I gotta side with xcap on this. It doesn't belong here.

What do you do when a sexy commercial comes on TV? Or when someone at the Mall is dressed as you feel inappropriately? Cover your son's eyes? Quickly change the channel? Stop going to the mall?

I am certainly not unsympathetic to your point, but these photo's, so far, aren't any worse than can be seen umpteen times a day in real life. Labeling them as "****" is just plain inflammatory.

I do see your point in that the thread is about cables and they are off topic............but

I'm in touch with reality and I understand we can't control the actions of others, nor do we have to agree with them. It's about courtesy and respect. I expect this crap to show up on TV, and the mall is just a freak show that actually amuses and scares me at the same time. But, I would no more expect these pix in his math book than in a thread about cables... Of course, maybe he'd pay attention a little more in math... ;) I still vote for respect and courtesy. That's all it should be about. If we're a community, then we should be a little embarrassed about our neighborhood.

I say this for the good of the forum. x, you don't fit in here. Hell, you don't even try to fit in. All you do is stir up trouble where there isn't any. I suggest you find another site to play your games because you've worn out your welcome.

It is, you don't seem to be getting the message though. Your behavior is unacceptable, so either stop it or find another place.

If you would shut your trap everyone would move on, yet you choose to keep it going. So much for self policing.

However the pics are not necessary something that a conscious and loving father would lead his young son to be familiar with. A loving father would look at places where the possibilty of such pictures are not expected to be seen by his son however... The thread title was about a comparision of cables and felt safe for the younger man. The derailing of the thread was the problem.

It has got a bit off the walls considering we went from a complete legit forum topic, to Wonder PIE...to... Viagra and sex enhancers. Then to kidnapping...
How we turned this into a learning experience I have no clue,
But none the less, we are getting something out of it..
I wonder how many guests, look at this thinking its about cables and find out what its really about.
Yep, the discussion had many various derailing that could lead one to CP. I wonder what kind of reputation it would provide Polk:confused:

Don't get me wrong, a few jokes here an th.re, a few pie pics etc... but the OP derailed at post 7 and never really recovered. How can CP be taken seriously with such discussion derailing?
If you don't agree with someoone, you resort to harrassment, personal attacks and bullying.
    That isn't acceptable anywhere.
Unfortunately this is often a reality and sure us a shame. The question should be who should stay away from the discussion: The persons that derails them when not in agreement or the people that actually beg for it to be civilised and respectable (for the OP, the members, visitors and even POLK it self),

It's the Clubhouse, "A place to relax and talk about your day." If you want serious, there are tons of "serious" discussions going on all over the rest of this forum.

You're another one, stop with the whining and pot stirring.

This is UNBELIEVABLE!!! Who assigned you as the forum police, the pastor of forum moral compass, and the guy who can thread crap and an insult people and be above the rules such as the statement in bold above.

Each and every time you enter a thread it turns into a cluster $%^& or a political debate and that's just the way you like it. How does it feel to have to power to screw up threads to point of them getting locked down. I can't get over how you get up on your high horse and start spouting the rules when you break them all time. Especially the one about being argumentative.

Well you've finally made my ignore list and I suggest the rest of you guys do the same cause X is nothing but trouble and will be having us all draw infractions responding to his high brow, high hat, high horse BS.
