RMDS1 Static

I am having static issues with a RMDS1 Polk Audio setup. I know it is an older setup but we have owned since new and I am wondering if you all can help me decide what may be wrong.at lower volumes it sounds fine but when turned up some (watching movies) it gets static noises through mostly the front surrounds but it does come frome the center and rear surrounds. I have cleaned the connections and blew dust off the pre-amp..any ideas?
