Maybe because the post count doesn't qualify to be in the For Sale area where it belongs?

dunno,,but with all the mods going on right now,it would be a good time to get those caps and resistors. As Jeff and Elliot are pretty familar with our upgrade needs---no afil,,just a great company to deal with.

That's my question; "Is gim54pod Jeff, Elliot, or someone else?"

Both are friends and have helped me immensely when they shipped me 5 or 6 large orders for my upgrade needs, but this thread does not seem to be their doing.

Sorry guys (Basically I don't know what I'm doing here .), I have no affiliation with Sonic Craft and didn't know were else to put it. Hope I didn't break any rules here, I DEFINITELY don't want to do that because I want to pick everyone's brain on upgrading my 1C's. I'll be posting about that later after I get it all figured out so that you guys can pick it apart and tell me where I'm right and wrong.

I was just trying to figure out how much it's going to cost me to redo my 1C's and saw the sale was on so I thought I'd let everyone else know.

BTW: I'm from the Pacific Northwest. (Where people don't tan they rust :D)

    Welcome aboard gim54pod.

There's a huge base of support here for Sonic Caps (especially in high pass circuits) and I originally restored both of my sets of SDA's with them. I've also done some experimentation with Auricaps, Clarity Caps and Mundorfs.

I've come away with the impression that you can spend a more money with only very minor improvements in sound quality. Sonic Caps sound very, very good in SDA's!

Looks like the sale doesn't cover the Sonicaps though or do those of you who have done the x-over upgrades use other than Sonicap Platinums? I'm ready to pull the trigger on my 1C X-over upgrades so this may be the time.

Sonic Cap Platinum caps are for electronics. You could use them as bypass caps in a speaker crossover too, but you or may not like the sound. As for coupling caps(electronics), they sound wonderful.

I've used the Platinums a couple of times in my vintage amps. They do sound fantastic but be prepared for 300-400 hour break-in time.
    Well worth the wait though.
