It's a nice line but change is inevitable. Micah mentioned working on the manuals or a catalog or something for the new RTi line for this year. I don't know if we will see them this summer or if it will be fall.

also if you are starting your system their will be a overlap of new and old and also can got good disc when stors want to get rid of stock fot eh new stuff.

I enjoy this line alot, I hope they make a larger bookshelf type, like the RT55i. That would be sweet for me at least. RTi are excellent for HT, and I have found recently that with the right cables, can perform much much better.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I found it to be a stupid move not to continue making the rt55's.They where killer. They should bring em back.
The rt series gets facelifts seems like every other or every year.I also read the wind of change is coming.........we shall see.Dan

Agreed on the 55. I think they should bring back a 'BIG' shelf speaker, ie 55/7. They certainly seem to be popular enough.

Well add me to the list for a new RTi58 bookshelf. I'd gladly upgrade my RTi38 mains if one were available. Polk, are you listening? My 7.1 setup consists of:
Denon 3803
Panasonic DVD
RTi70s front
CSi40 front center
RTi28s side surround
FXi30s back surround
PSW202 Subwoofer - Hey, it's my first sub!
RCA 46" 4:3 RPTV -
I would buy a pair for the garage rig....they are some killer speakers.I like emDan

I had four of the 55's and they were great, but I still think the LSI 9 is a better speaker. When I Watched movies they were sweet. They gave punch and depth like no other speaker I owned, but when it came to classical or jazz they were a bit sloppy. Don't get me wrong I would never say don't own them, some of the rock music I listen to sounded awesome on them, but they are not precise

Agreed,
When comparing the rt line to the lsi line there's no compare.Totally differnet sounding. The rt series simply don't have the finesse that the lsi's do.Different worlds here.
The rt55's are just fun to listen 2.A garage rig is where mine would live if I had the chance to get a pair.Dan

May be a little better then a garage. I think they are geat in any hometheater. Just not the speakers if you are listening to a lot of jazz or classical. Great for Rock and Country.

Yup I agree I wish the rt55i were still avail! Id run them in my garage facing my work bench. I sold my rt800i cs400i rt35i and the rt55i. I wanted to keep the 55's but the other half said if you want the lsi's sell the whole set! I wasnt using the 55's at the time & agreed to sell everything! Darn what a mistake! I should have lept the 55 or at least the 35's oh well thats like water under the bridge.

The RTi's are too nice to be relagated to the "garage". But that holds true for any Polk speakers. I've got a pair of Cerwin Vega's which I'm keeping for garage duty though. My 7.1 setup consists of:
Denon 3803
Panasonic DVD
RTi70s front
CSi40 front center
RTi28s side surround

Grace......beauty........a way to take over the room.Class is you will.I was comparing the Lsi vs the rt in this,rt series is like a muscle car,Brute force, cloth seats, big tires, loud exhaust, the lsi is like an exotic sports car, fine leather, beautiful wood dash, smooth exhaust tones,I think you get the Idea now....Dan
