I was at a garage sale yesterday and stumbled on a pair of Monitor 10's. The cabinets could use some TLC, but they sound fantastic. These are the first Polks I have ever even listened to. I have alway been a Klipsch guy, but I will admit that these can put some Klipsch to shame. The best part about it was they were $20 for the pair. WHAT A STEAL!

I am not sure if they are A's or B's I am away from home right now, so I can't post pics, but the tweeters have the wires going straight out the sides and I think they said "silver", or something like that. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the Dark Side, and Club Polk jgeorge! You'll find plenty of admirers of the Monitor 10 here. They'll help you out soon enough, but it tends to be a little quieter on weekends! Meanwhile, here's the Monitor 10 product page, and a vintage Polk Audio website for reference, if you haven't already found them yet:

    Best of luck!

Great find on those Monitor 10's an excellent speaker. I have a pair hooked up to a vintage Sansui receiver and it sounds excellent. Stick around; it is very easy to upgrade those big guys if you choose to.

I am going to use some older Onkyo components - pre-amp and amp (can't remember the model #'s), with a Yamaha linear tracking TT.
