Hello everyone,

I'm have a big problem with my PSWi225.
The fuse is blown and a capacitor exploded.
The amp board was like a spider nest.
Since I already open and messed around with the amp,
I assume I void the warranty (stupid me).
So, i was wondering, how much is it to replace the whole amp board?

Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Apparently I was so curious about this board that I kept looking for what's wrong with it.
Beside the blown capacitor, I found out that a pair of resistor hole on the board was left empty. The pair is marked with R21. Does anyone have any idea the value of R21? I might want to try plug in a new resistor and see if it will make the amp works.
    Thanks.

You might want to address that with Polk CS as previously mentioned. Don't forget you have mentioned a blowned capacitor and trying to install R21 will not solved this and may even worsen the problem. Sometime a board has missing component for the simple reason that is may be used in defferent circuits and you should definitely check with Polk before doing anything else.

    Good luck!

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I actually contacted Polk CS and they suggested me to send the Amp Board to them. Unfortunately I'm having problem removing the board from the back panel. The black rubber adhesive is very strong. That's why I was thinking about fixing the board myself. But, I think I'm going to follow your suggestion. I'm going to simply send the board to Polk CS and let them diagnose what's wrong.

    Thanks again.
