Up for your consideration is CS400 center channel speaker. It is an excellent performer, having used one myself for a long time. I am posting it on here for my brother, but I will accept responsibility for the transaction.

This is the non "i" version, and does not have the blue mid drivers. This is a perfect match for any RTxxx or RTxxxi set up with the trilaminate dome tweeters. It will also blend pretty well with any SDA set up with original SL2000's or 3000's. Not perfectly, but pretty well.

It is flat black and in excellent shape. Pictures of it are attached below.

Price is $150 and the buyer is responsible for shipping costs if need be. Local sale is always welcome, of course. Please post interest in this thread to keep things on the up and up.

Thank you

I've used this with my SDA 2B's and felt they matched fairly well. As Viper states, dialogue has always been good for us.

Nice center at a nice price! I purchased mine for 175 locally, and use it with my RTA 11TL's in my home theatre. Good luck with the sale!

+1, and a good match for LS series, too.

    Very true.

The only reason I'm not using one now is because I have a CS1000p. Otherwise it would be in my HT.

The need for these fantastic HT center speakers does come up from time to time. I have sold one here, more or less by accident, and also sold a spare tweeter I had for it too, in a similar way.

You just have to patient, and wait until somebody with appropriate matching mains is ready to upgrade from whatever they have right now to something better. There aren't all that many HT rigs using the older RT or RTi lines any more, but I think I've seen wanted threads in the FM for this before, quite recently even.

Actually, maybe Cathy should treat herself to this. I bet it would match her Polk Audio mains better than the Boston Acoustics speaker she is currently using! It would be nice to see it go to such a good home, where it will be properly appreciated and cared for, which all CS400's certainly deserve IMO.

Your pricing is bang on target IMO ... it's even a tad on the low side of reasonable, TBH. I just wouldn't expect a lightning quick sale. It may take a few weeks or even months.
    Alea jacta est!

I'd like to have two of these to try in lieu of the SRT center channel. They'd fill the hole in my cabinet originally designed for the CS1000P a whole lot better. Thinking.....

Apparently this is still up for grabs. Looks like I was slow on the draw, for which I apologize. Brokering a deal sometimes means for a lag in communications and I just don't have the time I used to have. So back on the block it is...

I must note this thing is in perfect condition. I didn't see a blemish on it and it sounded perfect. This will make somebody very happy...

It's all packaged up and ready for shipping. The price is still $150. Holler in this thread if you don't mind please....
