Why do you care so much?

The fact is, this area of the forum has been much more peaceful and has healed quite a bit since LoMo was axed. If he's allowed to come back, and I hope he's not, then we go backwards. The Music and Movies board goes right back into turmoil. I'm sure the mods have considered this and I'm sure life's been much easier for them too since the trash was taken out. We don't need it back in here again. Capiche?

    So STHU!

How come Mike is still banned?? How long is a temporary ban?

    Okay, looked at the rules:

1st Offense: A private warning sent via PM
2st Offense: A public warning issued and the closing of the thread
3nd Offense: A 7 Day suspension from posting privileges
4th Offense: A 30 Day suspension from posting privileges
    5th Offense: A LIFETIME BAN

The warnings have a one year shelf life. They will expire 1 year from the date of the initial warning.

*Polk Moderators can decide to skip the minor warnings and go directly to the lifetime ban based on severity of the offense.

If it is indeed a temporary ban then the most he would get would be 30 days. His last post was May 15th so the temporary ban should have expired June 15th.

The "Temporary Ban" situation is not specifically addressed in the rules. The only "BAN" mentioned is a lifetime ban. The penalty for 3rd and 4th offenses are "suspensions" rather than "bans".

Sure you can ask questions...if they are appropriate. Most communities have some written or unwritten rules regarding what is appropriate and inappropriate communication. I would ask that you revisit the rules and heed this instruction:
Polk Forum Rules: 9) Forum rules & guidelines are not up for debate. This is not a democracy, but rather a private forum owned by Polk Audio. Anyone openly debating the rules we have set in place will be removed.

I find it odd that over 50% of a new member's posts would be inquiries about another member's membership status.

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your cooperation.

    Excerpt from Bugs & Thugs;

    Rocky: Shut up!
Mugsy: DUH what'd I do, boss?
Rocky: I said button yer lip.
    Mugsy: DUH, Oh, okay, boss.
    [Literally buttons up his lip]
    Mugsy: [Muffled] How's this, boss?

This was the reason candyliquor was banned.

He was awesome entertainment value but a true pain in the **** both to members and mods not to mention the wealth of misinformation he put out in his drivel.

I gotta say though Carl is a really nice guy but on the forum he's a completely different person.

How does a guy who has been on the forums only a couple days and says he's of no relation know all about a member on temporary ban and when he was banned? So much so that he can complain about the person's "length or temporary ban"?
