    Back to the A7s - am I doing a sufficient job powering them? To recap -

    Denon AVR-3311ci (125wpc) powering the midrange / tweeter
    Onkyo M-282 amp (105wpc) powering the woofers

    Keep in mind, both purchases were made as I was starting to read all these threads about amps and avrs with pre-outs, etc. etc. So after learning and seeing what kind of gear (amps especially) people have, it's just nagging at me that perhaps my setup isn't optimal. hindsight and all..

    I guess if I could hear the A7s with one of these $1000+ 250wpc amps, I'd be able to tell if I'm missing anything. but obviously I can't w/o just buying one.

    Anyway - any thoughts? Not sure I plan to splurge on anything this month ...but then again, I've said that before...

    More power is better for the a7's. If you're close to Wisconsin ever you could stop by to hear 100 watts vs 390 watts.

    Ahh Wisconsin - last time I went to Wisconsin was in '96 for the Osh Kosh air show when I had a summer job w/ NASA in high school. Got a ride in a stunt plane and everything (barrel rolls, vertical loop) :)
