Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

    When the dog bites
    When the bee stings
    When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

A bedpan or bed pan is an object used for the toileting of a bedridden patient in a health care facility, usually made of a metal, glass, or plastic receptacle. A bed pan can be used for both urinary and fecal discharge. Many diseases can confine a patient to bed, necessitating the use of bedpans, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, apoplexia cerebri and dementia. Additionally, many patients may be confined to a bed temporarily as a result of a temporary illness, injury, or surgery, thereby necessitating the use of a bed pan. [1] See comment.

Metal bedpans can cause problems, because steel, which they are usually constructed of, may be cold, hard and uncomfortable. Also, the supporting area is very small and prolonged use can cause pressure ulcers. To solve these problems, new ergonomic bedpans have been developed, which support the patient with a larger area of warm plastic. Some designs completely cover the genitalia during use, offering protection and an extra measure of privacy.

In recent years, the new style bedpan liner made by recycled pulp (molded pulp) is more popular in European hospitals; it is low cost and also single-use, decreasing the risk of cross-communicated disease.
[1] Comment: So ... Mr. Pan, what's your excuse for whatever it is that ails you? Dimentia of some description? If so, temporary, I hope. Was it surgery (maybe they had to remove most of your brain, impairing your intellectual abilities)? An acute case of Trollitis, maybe?

Definitely Lederhosen! ("knee-breeches, knickerbockers or shorts made of leather"). Incredibly:
There is a widespread misconception that Lederhosen are a traditional national costume (Tracht) in German-speaking countries. They should rather be considered to be leisure wear for working-class men.

    McCann's Irish Oatmeal

    Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue

These are a few of my favorite things.

I'll vouch for the McCann's oatmeal, it is delicious if cooked properly. BTW you can get 5, 10, 15, & 25 lb bags of steel cut oats for a lot cheaper here.

Here's the recipe, I skip the cinnamon and put a cup of blueberries in. This is absolutely delicious and lowers your cholesterol big time in one to two months.

Here another method that works great and is absoltely delicious.

Thanks for that link; used to buy McCanns off of Amazon, but those are great prices.

Difference between steel-cut Irish and "regular" or (gag) "instant" oatmeal is like the difference between Porterhouse steak and sawdust.

Throw in a little REAL maple syrup and .... mmmmmmm !

The stuff is amazing especially if you toast then them before cooking them. I once ate two servings of it with blueberries every day for a month and when I had my cholesterol checked it was 50 points below the max, the HDL was up, the LDL was down, the Triglycerides were well below the max etc. I think what may turn most people off to it is that you have to simmer it for 30 minutes BUT you can make a whole batch on a Sunday then keep it refridgerated and take out the amount you need each morning and reheat it for 7 days. It keeps you nice and regular too.

    BTW I want that kitten!!!
