What's your "Paradise"?

This place is boring and quite negative today so lets have some audience participation!

Everybody has a place that is their "paradise". The place where no matter what is going on, life in this one spot is grand no matter what! So be good little boys and girls and share with the group.

It doesn't have to be a single spot. You can have multiple places where it's "paradise". It doesn't even have to be a physical spot, it could be just a state of mind or even the company you keep at that time. Just tell us about it. You don't even have to write any words, just post a picture.

Just tell us about that "happy place" you love so much and maybe why.

Me, I have lots of places that are "paradise" to me. Some are full of noise and an assault on the senses to others but just pure bliss for me. Other places have no people at all.

paradise = sailboat (or any boat) out on open water, no one around
sun-shining-on-deck-of-sailboat-carrying-csa-grain.jpg

paradise = at the drag strip
mdmp_0905_05_z+don_burton+ford_mustang_drag_race.jpg

paradise = sunny afternoon at the Phillies game (especially if they are winning!)
citizens.jpg

Lotsa places can be paradise!

I'm not even that big a baseball fan, but I agree a warm summer afternoon at Fenway ... just doesn't get much closer to perfect than that.

A hot sunny day on a long empty road on my bike with a full tank of gas... oh ya.

Having just set up a campsite with a group of close friends, miles away from any civilization? That's paradise.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I could use a paradise today with everything....

mostly just when I'm out water sking with a friend on a lake they have a spot on. When the sun goes down and its just peaceful and I can sit out on the dock and just relax and not have anyone or anything bug me, ask me for money, or worry about work its just the best. That and being able to talk to my friend about just stupid crap to when he's getting married is nice as its just guy time with no stupid GF's around to interupt ect.

ahhhhh would love to do that today...

Gotta say one of mine is Moose Lake and surrounding areas in Sequoia National Park. Backpacking there and listenting to Going For The One, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Close To The Edge and some other recordings is phenominal. One of the best places on earth that I have been to. I'll be heading there again this July.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

One of my favorite places to go was Lake George in upstate NY. Every Memorial day weekend a group of us would rent an island campite and a boat and camp out for the weekend and do alot of fishing.

There a park on one of the dams around here. Well, there are parks around all of the dams around here, but there's one that's especially pretty, and almost always vacant. I like taking my dog out and just wandering, or just sitting by the lake. It's especially nice to not have other hikers trying to talk to me... Maybe this is a little to simple, but I'm poor :)

The Bay Area seems to be an innovation paradise (from a purely practical standpoint).

I haven't been to either (yet), but Australia/New Zealand and Switzerland seem to be fantastic places. Hopefully visiting the former this summer.

My paradise is a warm summer night at an O.A.R. concert... most notably Red Rocks. Just getting lost in the music, atmosphere, and weather it puts me in a calm I can't experience elsewhere.

Up in the mountains...the higher and more remote the better. If I go for a day or two without seeing another human...that is just fine with me.
