Hey guys-
My 5 year old son wants a new video game system for his b-day next week. He's getting tired of the games from our old NES and SNES and he's pissed that I can't get him new games for them. Any recommendations, XBox, PS2, GameCube? Especially interested in those that have the best games for a 5 and 7 year old.
Thanks in advance- KB:confused:

how about an atari 2600 :)
    j/k
You can't go wrong with a PS2 altho Gamecube may have more kiddy games if he likes Mario related games.

Who is the game system really for?????

If it's really for your son then My vote would be Gamecube or Playstation2.

XboX is the best game system on the market but is made more for older gamers.....They lack in children games

Again, if this is really for your son, then there is no question. Gamecube is the perfect and only choice for a young man like him. You will like it too.

Yeah ...Gamecube for the Kids..definately more kid oriented or cutsy games.....Smash Bros. and the like....I'm personally starting over again on Pikman....LOL

Yes it really is for the kids. The NES and SNES are left from when my older kids were little (they're 18 and 21 now). I've never much been into games. Liked Tetris for a while but that's about it.
    Thanks for the input guys!

The price is supposed to drop soon, so you might keep an eye out for that too.
