Open for adoption: my 1975 Technics SL-120 direct drive table with Mayware Formula 4 arm and ADC cartridge and stylus. She needs a bit of TLC in the form of cleaning her speed selector switch, has a few minor blemishes, and will require your research and patience to set her back up to perfection after shipping.

This was the first nice table I ever owned as an adult. It has brought me countless hours of enjoyment. My hope is that it will do the same for someone just getting into vinyl or on a tight budget.

If you're interested in becoming her legal guardian--and promise you won't put her back on a plane to Japan with a note on her plinth if she causes trouble or anxiety--please post in this thread. I'll select her new parent next Monday evening.

    I'm in for sure!!

    I'm told my old Denon will require a lot of $$ to bring her back to life and while I'm just itching to get back into vinyl I don't have the money to spare after helping my kid move into her first house.

    IN! I'd love to be able to get into vinyl but know the fiance would flip if I bought a "record player" However, If it's free she can't argue.

    I would treat her well, and would not ship her anywhere(in please). Would be great, as all of my vinyl is sitting in a 30-40 gallon storage tote sitting on my bedroom floor.Crap, I think I've go a dozen LP's that I still have to listen to. If I were to become to proud owner of this baby I would Karma my Sony tt that need s a needle(or is a cartridge).

    Great karma! I've always loved the armless Technics tables and it looks like that is a nice combo with that Mayware arm. Count me in for sure. I will happily karma my Technics SL-1300 to the forum if I am the winner. I'd rather have a fully manual table for simplicity's sake (the 1300 is automatic).
