Outstanding. Now comes the really hard part. Stick with it and make us proud.

He hasn't earned that respect yet as he needs to earn the right to wear the Eagle, Globe & Anchor first ;).... I have absolutely no doubt that he will.

Congrats Mike! You will make a fine Officer, but the gentleman part, I just don't know.:p If you want me to babysit your Emeralds for you, I will consider it an honor.:D

Congrat's. When do you take the oath, @ graduation, or upon completion of OCS?

I get commissioned after I pass the bar, so I believe it takes place sometime after that.

Thanks for all the kind words.

At least try to get into the air wing, as that is where the best food/living conditions are to be found.

Great news Mike! Happy for you. It takes a very special person to toss aside the comfort and security of civilian life, opting for the rigors and early hardships of a career in the military. Thanks for your sacrifice and dedication to the country. Much luck to you.:)

Congrats bro! The schools and OCS aren't tough physically, but mentally they are going to try and break you. That's what the USMC is all about. They will break you down and mold you to one hardcore Marine bro. I am very proud of you, do your best to stand out above the rest. I have a buddy out there training "boots", so you may run across him. Who knows I may run across you when you get in the fleet. Keep your head up, let the games begin. I know your going to have some good stories for us. Semper Fi bro.

Well, don't go saying stuff like that yet. I gotta do the work first. Right now, I've only passed the test to qualify to take a bunch more tests to be a Marine Officer.
