I advised you to buy one a couple months ago. It's gone up 10.00 since then.
I know lol. I'm a slacker . Probably going to put in my order for it later today. I let me girlfriends dad talk me out of a universal player, but I think he's just too much of a...purist, to understand the benefit of one, both in convenience/performance and price.- Jeremy

Sorry, if you are using HDMI, all you are getting is the CD layer, not the SACD layer. That goes for all Denon models ever made. Here's the page from the 3910 manual, which states only CD layer PCM over HDMI.
I stand corrected sorry for the mis-information. I use the Denon link anyway to my 3805. I did think that it was updated with the update Denon sent me for the denon link 3rd generation update disc also covered HDMI -
For those who prefer another low cost SACD option, you may want to consider the refurbished 5 disc Sony SCD-CE595 CD/SACD changer for $60.00 directly from Sony. This changer has no video capability and is "blessed" with custom Burr-Brown DACs.
Danny! Are you sure about that burr=brown dac's info. I bought one 3 months ago and used it a lot. I liked the way it played. It sounded very good. I tried finding out info on it and couldn't. Nothing on Sony upgrading it. I found consumer reviews from 2004 on it. (amazon) I didn't want to stick with something I thought was 6 years old. I sold it and got my money back.
I now have a Oppo...But someday I might move it to video use. Right now its doing audio duty only.
For 60 budks I might buy the 595 again so that I have something to compare it with and keep them both honest.
So, I'll stop rambling and ask..do you have any links that that info?
Anything you have I will appreciate.
$60.00 is good price for a capable sacd unit.:)
