Welcome to the forum bproe. I have a few in mind, but was wondering how much you are willing to spend?

PS: I would go with the Monitor 70 for sure. Your amp with it's pre-outs will allow you to upgrade to an additional power amp in the future to help feed the Monitor 70's more power.

+1 on the 70's, they are the best bang for the buck in the Monitor series, IMHO. Center channel I would get a CS2 and for surrounds I woudlook into Monitor 30's or Monitor 40's. Very similar setup to what I had not too long ago and it was awesome. Good luck and welcome to Club Polk.

    WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!!

I'd pretty much go with Jeff's system above....M70s, CS2 and M40s are surrounds, your AVR and sub look good for now..but they won't for long if you hang around 'here'!

    Welcome to the CP.

I also agree with the statements above. The monitor series is very budget friendly. It is definetly a great place to start. Depending onthe budget that you have I would also recommend the RTiA series. The RTi's are more for HT and are a step up from monitor series.

Wjhat is your room size and budget?
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

Nah, stick with the 70s, they'll outmatch the 500s bang for the buck. There are several threads out and about that compare the two.

The general consensus is regardless of which you end up preferring (500s or the 70s), for the money the 70s are the better deal. ;)

I will say I heard a discernible difference in my 500s when I amp'd them separately via my M-40 (then tried bi-amping and liked it most). However, I don't know how much of a difference that would translate to over in HT (most of my listening is music)... though it would free up the AVR to send more power to your center. I'm very happy with my M-40, 120Wx2 channels and can be found on ebay for cheap cheap!

+1 on the 70's, I own both the TSi 500's and the Monitor 70's and IMJHO the 70's are the better speaker regardless of the price.
