Honorable mention: Fritz Speaker Carbon 7

I was actually searching for reviews on Harbeth's and this thread popped up, so I woke her up from her 2 year slumber.

    Still loving those Harbeth's eh?

I am curious why you got rid of your PSB Synchrony One speakers? Was there anything you didn't like about them? Or did you find something you liked better?

I am a PSB fan and own a pair of the original PSB Stratus speakers which I really love. They sound fantastic but the Synchrony Ones are totl speakers on a whole different level and are one of the things on my audio wish list (when I win the lottery, haaa).

They are still the best speakers I have ever owned till this day. I got rid of them to fund some video equipment for my business. I have always wanted to hear Stratus line. Do you own the Gold's or Goldi's?

My three are my first 'good' speaker, and my still current last two speakers. From last to best.

    1. Pioneer CS-A700, I had so much fun during the 70s and into the early 80s with those speakers, plus they sounded pretty good.
    2. Aerial Acoustics 7T, currently used as the fronts in my HT/surround sound system. My first, to me, high end speaker.
    3. Magico S5, most likely the last speaker I will ever buy. These things are phenomenal. They are so accurate, whether playing low with a string quartet, or blasting at an obscene level with rock, they sound great. I am just amazed at how effortlessly they play loud. Tonight they will help me evaluate the new remastered Led Zeppelin 96/24 downloads.

Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Thanks. I have heard incredible things about them although I have yet to hear them myself.

I actually own a pair of the original PSB Stratus speakers (precusor to the Stratus Bronze, Silver, and Gold models).

I will vouch for the PSB Synchrony One speakers. They are just a tad less than the Aerial Acoustics, and are half the price. After I got the Aerials, the PSBs moved into the HT/surround system. Now they are the surround speakers, but the PSB Synchrony One Center still reigns, and meshes well with the Aerials in the front.

    Polk SRT

You may be wondering why the SRT isn't in the 2nd spot. I always thought the SRT's were fantastic on HT but fell short on music. The 1.2's handled both with more finesse imho. Have had just about every vintage Polk speaker grace my living room at one point in time or another. The 2.3's and 1.2's are the stand outs to me.

The current B&Ws are the best speakers I have owned for double duty
The modded 2Bs were best for 2ch, but required a lot of power and were placement picky
RTA 8Ts are the first I bought and are probably the best of both worlds. Super for both 2 ch and HT.
