I think he's referencing the review done by Stereo Review in '85. They note that sound travels 5 1/2' in 5 milliseconds, so the speakers should be at least 5 1/2' from the side wa…1 · -

Try either Suzie Q from Creedence or Purple Haze from Hendrix. Those two always give me a crazy effect. Most other material I play stays within the soundstage.1 · -
