About 20 years ago around here 20% became the norm for good service. Maybe longer. The difference I see on the card readers is the choices now start at 18%, and go as high as 30%.1 · -

The red/black wires definitely look like they are all cold solder joints. The solder didn't even wick up the strands, or fill the holes in the PCB. I rarely solder, and I can do much better than that.2 · -

I hope you mean 12/2 with ground. 12/3 would have 4 conductors. And plain Romex is also rated for 600v, just in case you didn't know.1 · -

Most the goods sold by local stores are also made in China, so you'd be supporting them even without Amazon. Most things just aren't made in the USA anymore.2 ·
