I think with changing signals there can be eddy currents generated in the aluminum that will induce losses. The associated fields from those currents can change the dynamic behavior of the inductor.1 · -

^^When the magnet assembly and dust cap has been removed, a spud can be used to pull the voice coil up just out of the way and you can add some foam to that recessed area, attached with power grab or…2 · -
